Learn all about the ideals and customs for the foundation of Japanese society and culture. A special activity is also included for your on the shrine grounds. Take this time to be curious, ask questions, or just have a spiritual moment during our private time at this famed local shrine.
We will also be exploring Odawara Castle after hours with a local guide as we see and learn about the time of the samurai and civil war in Japan. This experience also includes exclusive access to Odawara Castle after hours so you can enjoy at your own pace as we dive into the history of Japan and the Samurai.

About Ninomiya Shrine
Houtoku Ninomiya Shrine in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, is a distinguished Shinto shrine dedicated to Ninomiya Sontoku, also known as Ninomiya Kinjiro, a 19th-century agricultural reformer and philosopher celebrated for his contributions to agrarian economics and rural community development. Established to honor Sontoku's life and legacy, the shrine serves as a place of worship and reflection, where visitors can pay respects to Sontoku’s spirit and seek inspiration from his teachings of diligence, frugality, and the importance of education and moral character. Meeting point can be arranged upon booking to be more convenient and accessible. Please inform us if transportation needs to be arranged. This private experience takes place after Odawara Castle closes to the general public.
